Help for Mobile Food Banks

We are looking for immediate help at our Mobile Food Bank sites. We have distribution sites at a different location around the county each day. Volunteers can expect a fast-paced environment and should arrive ready to help out in whatever capacity is needed. The work area is inside the back of the semi truck so please plan your outfit accordingly. We expect our volunteers to be flexible, friendly and to have fun! Nourish facilities are a place for all to feel welcomed and valued. Please check in with the Mobile Driver Manager when you arrive for your assignment. Duties include, but are not limited to:

• Sorting and unpacking boxes 
• Guiding shoppers through the truck and explaining options
• Interact with all volunteers, staff and clients with compassion, dignity, and respect

Skills Necessary:

• Must be physically fit and able to lift at least 20 pounds repeatedly throughout shifts
• Ability to work on your feet for several hours
• Ability to step up and down from a truck
• Good interpersonal and communication skills
• Comfortable in a busy environment
• Courtesy and helpfulness are expected
• Closed toe shoes and shirts with sleeves are required
• The ability to work in a team are required
